Investment Criteria

Chrysalis invests in established VCT qualifying unquoted companies for the purposes of funding expansion, acquisitions, management buy-outs or turn around opportunities. The companies we invest in will typically have:

A proven high quality management team.   A business plan with demonstrable and sustainable growth.   A favourable market environment.   Products or services that can command higher than normal margins.   A clear exit strategy.

Chrysalis typically invests between £250,000 and £1,000,000 in each investee company. Further investment rounds in performing companies may be supported but our maximum investment in any one company is unlikely to exceed £2,000,000 spread over two years.

Chrysalis will occasionally invest in AIM quoted stocks. It will also occasionally invest in technology and early stages businesses but usually as part of a syndicate of investors.

We are happy to receive proposals which meet our investment criteria.

These should be brief but clear enough for us to get a good understanding of the business opportunity. You should not include any confidential information in your summary proposal.

We will not be bound in confidentiality until we have signed a confidentiality agreement with you. We will respond to your proposal usually with 7 working days.
