Answer: Chrysalis do not normally invest in start up’s however, we will do in certain circumstances usually where the management are known to us.

Question: Is my company a VCT qualifying investment?
Answer: Please go to http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/guidance/vct.htm to see if you qualify.

Question: How much does Chrysalis invest?
Answer: Chrysalis invests between 250K-£1m

Question: Which Industry sectors do Chrysalis normally invest?
Answer: Chrysalis normally consider all VCT qualifying sectors.

Question: My Company is outside of the UK?
Answer: VCTs can only invest in UK based companies.

Question: Does Chrysalis always take an equity stake?
Answer: To be a qualifying investment VCTs must have an equity stake and for an individual VCT it must be below 50%. Our equity stakes generally vary between 10%-40%.

Question: Does Chrysalis take a board position?
Answer: Usually yes, but often our representation has previous knowledge of the investee company sector.
