Dr Martin Knight (Chairman)
Martin Knight has been Chairman of Chrysalis VCT since October 2017, previously a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Chrysalis VCT since October 2008. He is a graduate of and has a doctorate from Oxford University and is a Fellow of Imperial College, of which he was a Governor and Council member for 18 years until November 2010. Currently, he is also Chairman of LMS Capital plc and Frontier Smart Technologies Group Ltd, both of which are quoted on the London Stock Exchange. He is also Chairman of Cambridge Mechatronics Ltd, a private company in which Chrysalis has a small shareholding. Previously he was Chairman of Touchstone Innovations, the publicly quoted early stage investment company, for ten years until August 2016. He started his career at the investment bank, Morgan Grenfell & Co Limited, of which he became a Director in 1982.
Julie Baddeley (Non-Executive Director)
Julie Baddeley is Chairman of Harvey Nash Group plc, and of Sustain, a privately owned carbon reduction company, and is a non-executive director of AIM-listed data analytics business Ebiquity plc. She has been a director of Greggs plc, the BOC Group, Camelot Group plc, Spice plc, the Yorkshire Building Society and executive director of the Woolwich where she was responsible for e-commerce and information technology. Earlier in her career she was partner in charge of a substantial part of Accenture’s change management practice in Europe and was managing director of Sema Group plc’s consulting group in the UK. She has been a Director of Chrysalis VCT plc since October 2000.
Robert Jeens (Non-Executive Director)
Robert has been a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee since October 2017. He is currently also Chairman of Allianz Technology Trust plc and Remote Media Group Limited and a non-executive director of JPMorgan Russian Securities plc. Previous appointments include acting as chairman of nCipher plc and as a non-executive director of Henderson Group plc, TR European Growth Trust PLC and Dialight plc. During his executive career he was a partner in Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte) and subsequently finance director of Kleinwort Benson Group plc and Woolwich plc.
